Itinerary:

Day 1: Kampala - Murchison Falls National Park
Our driver guide will pick you from your hotel or airport drive north-west through the famous Luwero Triangle, proceed to Masindi via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. You will have a visit to the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for Rhino trekking. After lunch, drive to Murchison which is situated at the top of the fall where you can see the Niles magnificence.

Overnight  and Dinner at Paraa Safari Lodge.

Day 2: Murchison Falls National Park
On this day, after breakfast, you will cross the Nile by ferry to the northern bank of the park. on the safari  the guide will help you spot Lion, Elephant, Rothschilds giraffe, Cape buffalo, hartebeest, Waterbuck, Bushbuck,  Oribi, Bohor reedbuck, hyena among other wild animals. Return to the hotel for lunch.  In the afternoon you will go for a boat safari upstream the calm Victoria Nile to the base of the falls stopping just tens of meters from the Devils Cauldron. On your way you will see hippos, crocodiles, waterbuck and Uganda Kob crocodile. Its also a destination for bird lovers. On arrival you will leave your boat behind and proceed for one hour hike to the top of the falls. See where the worlds longest river explodes violently through a narrow cleft in the Rift Valley escarpment to plunge into a frothing pool 43m below.

Overnight and Dinner at Paraa Safari Lodge.

Day 3: Depart Murchison Falls for Kibale
On this day, after breakfast, check out and have an all day drive to Kibale Forest National Park. You will have spectacular scenery on the way.

Dinner and overnight at Kyaninga Safari Lodge or Similar Lodge.

Day 4: Kibale Chimpanzee Trekking & Bigodi Walk
You will have an early morning trek for chimpanzees. Kibale Forest National Park is one of the best reserves in Africa to see the chimps. Kibale National Park is one of the beautiful and stunning forests in the Uganda, home to the endangered Chimpanzee, the threatened Red colobus monkey as well as the rare LHoests monkey. It also boasts of having one of the highest diversity and density of primates in Africa totaling 13 species including the Black and white colobus, Blue monkey, Grey-cheeked mangabey, Red tailed monkey and Bush babies and Pottos.

After lunch visit Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary where you have a guided walk around the Swamp. Here you will have the opportunity to see a wide range of flora and fauna. You will also have a tour of the crater region around Ndali lodge.

Overnight and dinner at Kyaninga Safari Lodge.

Day 5: Kibale Queen Elizabeth National Park.
After breakfast, check out and drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, on the way you have spectacular views of the mystical Rwenzori Mountain range to arrive in time for lunch at the reserved lodge. After lunch, take on an afternoon Launch cruise along Kazinga Channel one that joins Lakes Edward and George. The cruise is a wonderful way to see hippo, buffalo, kob and the occasional Nile crocodile and a spectacular bird watching on the water bank.

Dinner and overnight stay at Mweya safari.

Day 6: Queen Elizabeth National Park
On this day you will have an early morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will spot a variety of wildlife such as Elephants, Hippos, lions, warthogs, water bucks, bush buck, spotted Hyenas, stripped jackal, among others. Later proceed to Maramagambo forest

Dinner and overnight Mweya safari

Day 7: Queen Elizabeth National Park- Bwindi.
After breakfast, have a guided Chimpanzee/primate walk along Kyambura Gorge before proceeding to Ishasha. At Ishasha you will drive along the deep and wide dry craters that are occupied by savanna grasses and acacia which takes you through the unique western rift valley escarpment. Here you will have a game drive in search of tree climbing lions before proceeding to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

Dinner and overnight at Buhoma Lodge.

Day 8: Bwindi Gorilla Tracking.
After breakfast, you will set off to track the gorillas. The encounter of the Gorillas is Amazing. Spend time in awe watching the gorillas go about their activities. Remember to carry all the gears for trekking. Each gorilla safari encounter is different and amazing, you are likely to enjoy the close view of adults feeding, grooming and resting as the youngsters enjoy playing and jumping from one area to another.
In the afternoon, if time permits, spend the afternoon on a community foot safari to explore the life style of the people living and surrounding the park.

Overnight and Dinner at Buhoma Lodge.

Day 9: Bwindi Entebbe.
After breakfast, check out and drive to Kampala with a visit to Igongo Cultural village to explore and learn the Bahima and Ankole culture. Continue your drive to the Equator crossing with your lunch en-route before you drive to back to Kampala/Entebbe. Drop off at the airport to catch your flight back home.

Flying option.
For clients who would like to fly instead of the long hours drive can opt to fly from Bwindi to Kampala or Entebbe. The flight takes approximately 2 hours. One can fly from either Kisoro airstrip or Kihihi Airstrip to Entebbe.

Flight schedules:

  • From Kihihi to Entebbe Departing 0945 arriving 1125.
  • From Kisoro to Entebbe Departing 0910 arriving 1125.
  • OR with an afternoon flight Departing 1405 arriving 1555.
